白菜;大白菜a type of vegetable that is eaten cooked or in salads. There are two types of Chinese cabbage , one with long light-green leaves and thick white stems which is similar to lettuce and one with darker green leaves and thicker white stems . The first type is usually calledChinese leaves in British English and the second type is calledpak choi(in British English) orbok choy(in American English) .
