When I was there end of December, there were no 3 days tours because part of the national park was closed( I don’t remember which part now). My friend in Houston was in contact with a tour agent based in Santa Cruz who assured her that part of the park is open. I ended up not using him for scheduling issues, but I was lucky because when I arrived in Uyuni all companies confirmed that there are no 3 days tour. I had a great experience with Andes Salt, they were responsive, professional, and honest. But regardless of the company you choose, I recommend to choose one that is based in Uyuni.

Well, it has been five months since I have been there so my memories are fading a bit. Our tour group made a couple of stops before reaching the "island" where the bathrooms are located. We stopped to look at the mummies and the hot springs so I believe it took us about 1.5 - 2 hours to reach the "island." Maybe, someone who did the trip more recent can provide a more accurate answer. Oh, my answer corresponds to the dry conditions. If there is water out there, it would be shorter drive. Definitely, someone who did the trip during the wet season will give you a different answer. Have fun!
