Almost all tourists to the area will end up here to take a look at the sunset, so it does get crowded. It does not help that they have blocked off access to the wetlands around 200 metres out, which… Full review by Orator11

I wonder, if it is more recommended to visit gaomei wetlands at that time, or should i go in the afternoon instead, when the tide is higher, to catch sunset. Thanks in advance. :)

I usually go earlier for some wading in the water at the end of the wooden pier. Then I have some Taro Dou Hua and Squid Balls, followed by the sunset. So I often spend 2-4 hours there but 1 hour is enough if you are in a hurry.
Q:
Any bus or train to reach at Gaomei from the city?
A:
There's no train or bus to Gaomei Wetland. Hire a cab for easy convenience. It cost NTD 2500 for the trip (solo travelling).
