Is your plan to take the tram in and then hike around? I'd say that is doable. But if you are talking about walking from the Refuge to the park, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have done a ten mile round trip hike in the past. It is 5 miles from the parking lot at the refuge to our park.
Has anyone been bitten by any of the snakes? Do the snakes try to stay away from humans? Do you see a lot of snakes around here?
