The Conservatory Garden is a formal garden near the northeastern corner of Central Park in Upper Manhattan, New York City. Comprising 6 acres, it is the only formal garden in Central Park.

I love to come here as a refuge for the busy city and the best time here is spring. The well maintained flower beds,specimen trees and shrubs snd well maintained walks make this a great spot to relax… Full review by Allansha

This was my first visit. It is very easy to find and enter. Plenty of pathways and a wide variety of trees, bushes and flowering plants. Benches can be found throughout, and there is even a restroom.… Full review by grrprr

There is no fee for entrance to the gardens and you might use this opportunity to visit the Museum if the City of New York directly across the street. This would also provide an opportunity to make use of a small luncheon site and restroom facilities located in the Museum. The gardens in the winter are beautiful in a winter mantle of greenery.

If you wish for a longer excursion, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a true oasis of quiet beauty away from the din. The New York Botanic Garden (in the Bronx) is also very large, but it's farther away than the one in Brooklyn.
