Once you have started to overtake, move quickly past the vehicle you are overtaking and leave it plenty of room. Then move back to the left side of the road as soon as you can, but without cutting in. Overtaking only on the right. If the vehicle you are overtaking increases speed, drop back if necessary and return to your normal lane behind it.

You can overtake another vehicle on the left when you’re driving on a one-way street. If you’re on a one-way street, you can overtake traffic travelling on either side. Follow the same rules as normal; check your mirrors and indicate before moving.
