I don't know about this year, but in previous years Te Papa has been open on Christmas Day. It's one of very few places tourists can go as most places are closed. My Wife and I are doing a cruise round New Zealand next year ,so we only get a day in each port .I suppose that all the cruises stop at the same ports of call. My question is what are the best places to visit ,we are in our 70's so nothing like hang gliding or that adventurous.
