Beautiful area with narrow fast flowing river with rapids. Easy walking trails. Gorgeous fall foliage. Many fisherman on various parts of the river. Full review by R3401KXkathyl

Nice stop to stretch your legs. Fun watching watching the fishermen trying to catch salmon. We hoped we could some swimming up stream, but no luck Full review by Sewersavvy

Yes. Salmon start running here as early as the end of July. The Bear River at Lake Street bridge is a favorite spot although sometimes it can be intimidating & dangerous with the amount of fishermen/women. Downriver at the mouth of the Bear River, at the "Bobber Hole" is quieter. **Always check with the current Michigan DNR Fishing Book for rules, hook sizes for the Bear River**

Yes. If you stay on the paved walkways. Many people of all ages walk it. We took my elderly mom there when we would fish for salmon. She loved it
