Adults are $14.00, seniors are $10.00, and children ages 6-14 are $5.00. Children 5 and under are free. If you plan on visiting multiple attractions while in Wilmington, I highly, highly recommend buying the Brandywine Treasure Trail Passport. It's good for 11 sites, including the Hagley Museum, and it will save you a substantial amount of money compared to the individual admission costs. I purchased it last summer, and we visited 7 of the 11 attractions and saved well over $100.00.

The only area (stone/cobblestone) with a slight hill is when visiting the home area. Touring on the trams makes the visit easy and you could just stay by the tram or only go as far as comfortable. The guides are well aware of those with walking difficulties and I am very sure they would help - as I took a group of 50 senior citizens and everyone enjoyed the tour!

There is a museum at the entrance that would probably take about 45 minutes to tour if you stop and see/read every display. The bus will then take you to the powder mill, the tool shop, the steam shop and the mansion. The demonstrations in the tool shop and powder mill take about 45 minutes total. The mansion is a timed departure and takes about 45 min if you take your time. There is another part of the park that you have to walk around where there is a school and some workers' houses, etc. That part only takes as much time as it takes to walk from building to building as the buildings don't take much time to see the insides. I'd say another 30-45 minutes. If you do all that, you'll have seen the entire park.

I'm not sure you can spend an entire day at Hagley, but you can certainly spend a good majority of it. The property is extensive to say the least. You could walk much of it and easily spend three hours on the museum, the surrounding outer buildings and gun powder making area along the river and the display rooms. But when you get down the path to the working steam engine demo you have to take the shuttle bus to the DuPont home and gardens. That will take you another two hours. Actually, safe it to say that if take in everything in a leisurely pace it could possibly take all day. It all depends on what you are interested in seeing. There is a lot to see, that's for sure.
