Amongst the top gardens in the world, Kew is hugely impressive. Certainly very high on the "must do" for visitors to London and Brits alike. And the entrance fee is good value. The plants and planti… Full review by BarryinSomerset

Hi, I have tickets booked this eve for 8pm Victoria gate for Christmas at Kew. Just wondering if anyone knew if there is any chance of getting in earlier? Or are they strict on time slots? Thanks!

I'm sorry, I was there in the fall and spring and don't know anything about the holiday season although I'm sure the garden itself is not as lovely as in the warmer seasons ---try to do then.

Hi, please could someone let me know how often the land train runs? We would like to do the hop on and off as my mobility is currently not great following an operation. Is it only every hour or is it more frequent please? Thanks

Hi there, we visited inMay and from memory it ran every 20 or 30 minutes. The only potential problem with the hop on/off theory is that most people seem to stay onboard for the whole circuit, so there is just a chance that there won’t be space to hop back on, from the intermediate stops. However, for someone with mobility challenges, I’m sure they driver would try to accommodate. Cheers

I’m taking my mum in a wheelchair to Kew. Will 1 day be enough to see everything or better to split into 2? Thanks

That really depends on 2 things, the good old weather here in the UK and to what level your interest is in all things horticulture or arboriculture. Kew Gardens is an extensive site and it does have good access for wheelchair users even in the various glass houses.Obviously pushing a wheelchair itself will be something that restricts the amount you can cover in a day but to see the more important features like the temperate glasshouse and the palm house and Princess of Wales Conservatory I think could be done in a busy day. There are several places to eat within Kew, not the cheapest of places and car parking is something of an issue but I would presume you may be travelling to site by taxi or similar. I guess the simple answer would be if you just want a cursory visit to get a feel of what Kew has to offer then 1 day would be fine, if you want to get into the plants and history in any depth then perhaps I would say 2 days, however, enjoy your visit.
Q:
What’s the capacity for the outdoor gigs at the festival
A:
Sorry nomidea
Q:
How long does it take to do the treetop walk in kew gardens?
A:
The walkway is 200 metres long so depends on how long you want to stay up there and look round. Its a bit of a climb up (18 metres) but a lift is available should you need it.
