Steven Hess, MD, is a Board-certified neurological surgeon with AdventHealth Medical Group Neurosurgery at Shawnee Mission.After earning his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Fort Hays State University, Dr Hess earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Before graduating, he completed a clinical clerkship at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating, he went on to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center.Dr Hess has long been on the medical staff at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission (formerly Shawnee Mission Medical Center) and he joined AdventHealth Medical Group in 2021.
