We used the hotel car park but then we were staying there anyway. If you are out of town you might want to see if there is a park and ride.

Probably too late to answer, but it’s fine all year round. you will certainly find muddy patches, but there’s always a dry path and a tarmac lane you can walk or ride on

Parking in Cambridge is a pain and expensive. At time of writing nearly £28 per day. There is parking on the Backs but this is restricted. Best thing to do is to take one of the Park and Ride services. The closest is Madingly Road Park and Ride.
