Hi, The Challenge trip involves an outside walk of around 20 minutes from the vehicles to the mine entrance which is hidden up in the woods. This is mainly uphill and steep in places. After exiting the mine there is a steep walk downhill which takes around half an hour. While underground you're on foot too so its a good 4 to 5 hours of physical activity. Hope this helps.

Hi Jesscia A basic level of outdoor clothing is the minimum requirement layered over with waterproofs. Makesure you pack a lunch and waterproof you equipment. Small medical pack would be handy just incase. Instructors are well trained. I made the mistake of wearing light blue jeans . But escaped with only 4 muds stains. The company will supply the boots, hard hats, lights, harnesses and training. have fun :)
