Cases filed to the Ohio 10th District Court of Appeals are initiated in the Clerk of Courts Appeals Division. The majority of Appeals cases are the result of a petitioner asking the Court to review a final appealable order rendered by the original trial court, such as the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Probate Court, Municipal Court, Environmental Court, & the Ohio Court of Claims. Petitioners can also file original actions in the Clerk of Courts’ Appeals Division. These include but are not limited to Writs of Mandamus, Habeas Corpus & Procedendo actions.
