Wonderful place to stop and relax. While it appears that the fascinating museum Is closed due to COVID 19, visitors can still stroll on the riverside boardwalk and use the restroom facilities. Even… Full review by mb22727

What directions did you follow to get to the Lake? We have tried two routes suggested by welcome center and then again by Mapquest. Both have led to dead end roads. In Nags Head many times and would love to visit and see if we can see some of the beautiful animals here at the Lake. Thank you

Sorry, we did not go to the actual Lake. We attended the welcome/visitor center in Columbia which based on your question you already were there.
