Earlier this week, state officials released a scathing federal report which found Oregon’s state-run psychiatric hospital was failing to keep patients safe from assaults. But one particular aspect of the report caught the eye of reporters—and, apparently, the governor.

Oregon State Hospital has a security camera system with blind spots and has failed to prevent patient-on-patient assaults or stop patients from having sexual contact with each other, a federal report found.
