It's been an open secret for some time, but now it's all but confirmed that the upcoming Surface Laptop 6 for consumers will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite SoC.

Surface Laptop 6" has been spotted in benchmarks, featuring the Snapdragon X Elite X1E processor, previously seen in the Galaxy Book4 Edge.

It looks like Microsoft may soon launch the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 in Malaysia. Based on our findings, both are already in SIRIM's e-ComM

To put the figures into perspective, an M3 Pro 14-inch MacBook Pro scores 3,125 in single-core and 15,124 in multi-core tests while the larger 16-inch MacBook Pro manages scores that are almost identical, as you'd expect.

Qualcomm is working on two new chips, the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus to offer Windows users a reason not to switch to MacBooks with Apple Silicon. It was previously rumored that the Surface Laptop 6 will use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X Elite chip.

Although Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite has yet to appear in retail devices, the company announced a new Snapdragon chip for laptops. The Snapdragon X Plus is a 4nm ARM-based chip using the Oryon CPU architecture,
