Summary: Following yesterday‘s tornado outbreak, a little bit of a calm before our next round of strong to severe storms today the storm prediction center once again, pinpointing areas of the big country to see some strong to severe storms.

Iowa is in an active stretch of weather that has resulted in severe weather Friday, when several tornadoes were reported from the southwest corner through central Iowa, and could bring more severe storms through Sunday.

As we close out the month of April, we are beginning to transition from the spring season to summer. May is when we typically see temperatures near 100 degrees and when we see our first 100-degree day of the year.
