China Southern Joins Deal Frenzy for C919 Jet to Rival Duopoly
China Southern Airlines Co. said it will buy 100 Comac C919 jets, bolstering the streak of recent orders for the local planemaker vying for a role alongside incumbents Boeing Co. and Airbus SE.
China Southern Airlines expects first C919 still this year
China Southern Airlines (CSA) has ordered 100 Comac C919s, completing the trifecta of the ‘Big Three’ state-owned airlines committing to the ‘Made in China’ aircraft. CSA follows Air China’s recent order for 100 extended-range C919s. Based on its Hong Kong stock exchange announcement, the C919 has a list price of $99 million.

China Southern purchases 100 C919 aircraft
China Southern Airlines has ordered 100 home-made C919 aircraft from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), the carrier said in a filing on Monday. It is the third large-scale order for the C919 following the previous orders made by Air China and China Eastern Airlines.
