Brown University student protesters packed up their tents and peacefully left the College Green Tuesday afternoon, leaving behind lemon yellow patches of grass as a souvenir of their week of solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Brown University and pro-Palestinian protesters behind an encampment erected on the school's campus reached an agreement Tuesday to disband the demonstration.

PROVIDENCE— Student protestors at Brown University began taking down their tents Tuesday afternoon, ending the Brown Divest Coalition’s week-long “Encampment for Gaza” after University President Christina Paxson agreed to put a divestment resolution up for vote at the Corporation of Brown University’s October meeting.

Pro-Palestinian activists agreed to clear the student-run encampment on the Main Campus Green at Brown University. In exchange, their school’s governing body has agreed to vote on a divestment measure at its October meeting.
