This year, seated next to Buffett, is Ajit Jain, the head of Berkshire’s insurance businesses, and Greg Abel, who runs all non-insurance businesses. While they have excellent track records running their respective operations, they are business operators, not entertainers.

Buffett got his first question. He was asked about trimming Apple stock holdings and whether his views of Apple's business or its attractiveness as an investment have changed since Berkshire first invested in 2016.

This year, Buffett will be without his longtime partner Charlie Munger, who died in November at the age of 99. Buffett will be joined on stage by Greg Abel and Ajit Jain, Berkshire's vice chairmen for operations.

The company began accumulating the shares in the second half of 2023. Barron’s has speculated it could be one of these three companies.
