An IndyCar race Sunday saw a mannequin fall from a bridge overlooking the course and lose an arm to a car, drawing broadcast discussion.

About halfway through the race, a mannequin (named Georgina) that had been tied to a pedestrian bridge across the track fell to the ground, landing just off the track surface. The mannequin landed feet first, then fell onto the edge of the track. A few seconds later, a passing race car mashed the mannequin.

According to a replay shown on NBC Sports, the mannequin appeared to fall from a pedestrian walkway that traveled over a portion of the race track. The mannequin landed just barely on the track's surface and was later struck by one of the cars on track, smashing the mannequin's hands.
