A new reimagining of John Galsworthy’s Forsyte novels from screenwriter Debbie Horsfield (Poldark) is coming to MASTERPIECE on PBS.

A new screen iteration of a timeless family drama is coming to PBS Masterpiece. The network has assembled a truly all-star cast of British favorites to star in the newest adaptation of John Galsworthy’s The Forsyte Saga — this time, it’ll start with a six-part first season based on the novels.

A fresh adaptation of ‘The Forsyte Saga’ is on the horizon for PBS viewers as Masterpiece gears up with a stellar cast. This new series iteration aims to enthrall audiences with its account of the prestigious Forsyte family’s drama-filled existence in the late 19th century London.

The Forsyte Saga 3.0 will come from production company Mammoth Screen, and it'll begin filming next month in Wales, England, and Italy. Our show is in part a prequel to the events of the first book, but also an opportunity to expand the world and place the women of the family centre stage.
