This year, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled against releasing information in two public records cases. Soon it'll decide two other key records cases.

Voting rights advocates have filed an emergency motion asking the Supreme Court to keep in place a new Louisiana congressional map that gives the state a second majority Black district.

Black voters and civil rights groups challenged that version of the map and won a court ruling that it likely violated the VRA and should be redrawn. But the Supreme Court paused the redrawing process for the 2022 election and while it considered a similar case from Alabama.
