An arrest has been made in the cold case murder of a New Jersey woman who was killed and dumped in a park nearly 30 years ago, authorities announced Monday. Tamara “Tammy” Tignor was 23 years old when she was killed.

Decades after a woman was killed and her body was dumped in the woods of New Jersey, a suspect has been extradited from Canada to face murder charges, according to law enforcement. WNBC’s Jen Maxfield reports.

Police in Boulder, Colo., shared an update last week on the cold case murder of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey as the 28th anniversary of her killing approached.

Investigators are closer to finding out who killed 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey nearly two decades after the child was found dead, sources told ABC News. ABC News reported that unidentified sources briefed on the investigation said a team of experts has been assigned to look at remaining evidence in the case and to “apply the most modern scientific and cold case techniques to try to solve the crime.

People familiar with the case say that new techniques are being applied to the investigation into the six-year-old’s death.
