Bear Fire update: Northern California blaze grows to 3,000 acres as evacuations remain
The fire had charred 3,000 acres by Wednesday morning, 1,000 more acres than conditions about 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Interagency Fire Center’s Northern California operations. The fire burning just south of Loyalton remains 0% contained, firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fire said.
