The former New Jersey governor fell short of the minimum 2,000 signatures needed from Maine voters to qualify for the state's Republican presidential primary.

Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) are set to be absent from the Maine Republican primary ballot.

Chris Christie (R-N.J.) won’t be on the Maine primary ballot, the state Secretary of State announced Saturday. Christie and former Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-Ark.) were the only GOP candidates still in the presidential race to be missing from the list of candidates on the primary ballot.
