President Donald Trump has threatened a 200% tariff on all alcoholic products shipped from the European Union, dismaying drinkers, restaurateurs, bar owners and suppliers across the US.

European Union regulators are taking steps to rein in Google and Apple on antitrust charges, even as U.S. President Donald Trump threatens to hit the bloc with tariffs for alleged "overseas extortion" of America's tech giants.

In his first term, Trump also targeted the alcohol industry. A series of tit-for-tat tariffs hit alcohol products in the U.S. and the EU. The Biden administration suspended those tariffs, but now the industry is once again in the crosshairs. The industry has still been recovering from that first tariff spat.
