The Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed a previous trial court’s decision to dismiss the case against Oxford Community Schools and its employees in regards to the deadly school shooting in 2021 on the grounds of governmental immunity.

A Michigan appeals court rules that the attorneys for the Oxford High School families haven't done enough to prove that the staff at Oxford can be held responsible for the tragedy on Nov. 30, 2021.

The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the Oxford school district on Thursday in a lawsuit that seeks to hold employees partly responsible for a shooting that killed four students and wounded others in 2021.
