The House passed a measure that would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from finalizing a rule imposing emission standards for certain vehicles – marking another effort by House Republicans to tackle the Biden administration’s regulations on climate and pollution.

The Republican-led House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to bar the Biden administration from moving forward with stringent vehicle emissions regulations that would result in 67% of new vehicles being electric by 2032.

The legislation isn't going anywhere but Republicans say it's needed to stop a move to force Americans to buy more electric vehicles.

The House of Representatives voted largely along party lines Thursday to repeal a Biden administration regulation that allows student loan borrowers to make smaller payments on their loans if their annual earnings fall below a certain threshold.

The House on Wednesday voted in favor of blocking a Biden administration rule that’s expected to shift car sales in the U.S. significantly toward electric vehicles. The vote was 221-197. The rule in question could move car sales as far as to reach two-thirds electric by 2032.
