The FBI and other intelligence agencies revealed Wednesday that Iran attempted to share information stolen during its hack on the Trump campaign with the Biden campaign and continues to send material to various media outlets.

The emails were part of a sweeping effort by Iran to steal and disseminate sensitive internal communications between aides working for former President Donald J. Trump.

Trump's campaign called for the Harris and Biden campaigns on Wednesday night to divulge whether they used hacked material to hurt Trump. But the White House said the president was only made aware of the attempt to share the information on Wednesday.
