A Hezbollah drone attack on an army base in central Israel killed four soldiers and severely wounded seven others Sunday, the military said, in the deadliest strike by the militant group since Israel launched its ground invasion of Lebanon nearly two weeks ago.

Hezbollah said the drone attack was in retaliation for two Israeli strikes in Beirut on Thursday that killed 22 people.

Reuters reported that at least 40 people were injured after Hezbollah, a Lebanese militant group, said it had launched a "swarm of drones" at Golani Brigade camp in the northern Israeli town of Binyamina. The Associated Press reported that at least three people were "critically" injured.
