Israel said Sunday that it has recovered the bodies of three more hostages taken in Hamas' Oct. 7 attack that ignited the ongoing 20-month war in the Gaza Strip.
The military did not say whether its airstrike that killed hungry Palestinians was related to its recovery of the dead Israelis that Hamas had taken captive.
The hostages were identified as civilians Ofra Keidar and Yonatan Samerano, and soldier Shay Levinson. All were killed on October 7, 2023, the military said.
The Israeli military identified the remains as those of Yonatan Samerano, 21; Ofra Keidar, 70; and Shay Levinson, 19. Hamas is still holding 50 hostages, less than half of them believed to be alive.
