Israel began allowing dozens of humanitarian trucks into Gaza on Tuesday, but the aid has not yet reached Palestinians in desperate need.

Israeli forces killed at least 55 Palestinians in airstrikes in Gaza, local medics said, continuing to bombard the enclave despite mounting international pressure to halt military operations.

Gaza's civil defense agency said Israeli strikes killed at least 44 people on Tuesday across the war-ravaged Palestinian territory, where Israel has intensified a military offensive aimed at crushing Hamas.
