Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik, a key investigator in the Karen Read case​, has been transferred to another Massachusetts State Police role.

Yuri Bukhenik supervised Michael Proctor during the Karen Read investigation. He was disciplined after the first trial for failing to properly oversee Proctor.

Yuri Bukhenik has been transferred to the Division of Standards and Training on a “temporary duty assignment,” a State Police spokesman said.
