Prime minister Mark Carney’s Liberal Party has won Canada's federal election, which was dominated by Donald Trump’s trade war and in the aftermath of a deadly car-ramming attack in Vancouver. Voters chose the current prime minister and head of a Liberal party that has had a decade in power over leader of the opposition Conservatives Pierre Poilievre.
