A federal grand jury is meeting as several people connected to Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan in the federal case against her appeared at the Milwaukee federal courthouse on Tuesday. Federal prosecutors are expected to present the case against Dugan to a grand jury ahead of her next federal court appearance this week.

The federal charges filed against Judge Hannah Dugan are usually reserved for cases of companies misleading regulators, a review of records shows.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was taken into custody by the FBI last week and charged with obstruction and concealing an individual who was being sought by immigration authorities.

Ruiz, who is at the center of a federal case against Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan, had two hearings on May 8.
