PHILADELPHIA— Joel Embiid’s endless injury updates read like this for the week — he sat out Wednesday night’s loss against Orlando, there’s a chance he could play Friday against the Magic and, no, the 76ers haven’t yet considered shutting own the All-Star center.

According to Ky Carlin on Sixers Wire, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse said on Friday about the status of Embiid: "He's been on court the last few days. "He’s doing OK. His knee swelling is down, feeling a little better. Maybe he’ll like get through tonight, and hope there’s a chance he can play in the next game."
