Deadly shooting under investigation in central Phoenix
Officers were called to reports of a shooting near 27th and Missouri avenues around 2:45 a.m. While en route, police learned a car involved had moved to the area of 26th Avenue and Pierson Street. When they arrived, they found a man in a car suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Ray Sandfield, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.
