Ukraine’s capital has came under a large-scale combined drone and missile attack with explosions and machine gun fire heard throughout the city.
One of the biggest barrages of the war targeted 10 Russian regions, including Moscow, according to the Ministry of Defense, but it was not clear how much damage the attack did.
The barrage comes ahead of a planned call between Presidents Trump and Putin on Monday, as the US pushes for a ceasefire.
Ukraine pioneered the use of small drones on the battlefield. But in Russia’s Kursk region, Moscow’s fiber-optic cables helped turn the tide.
