Ukraine’s air force says Russia launched more than 100 Shahed and decoy drones at Ukraine in nighttime attacks

US President Donald Trump has offered to make a detour and stop in Turkey during his trip to the Middle East if it will persuade his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to show up at talks aimed at moving toward a peace deal between Kyiv and Moscow to end Europe's worst conflict since World War II.

KYIV, Ukraine -- A Russian drone strike on Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, wounded 47 people, local officials said. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said drones hit 12 locations in the city late Friday. Residential buildings, civilian infrastructure and vehicles were damaged in the assault, according to Kharkiv regional Gov. Oleh Syniehubov.
