Hundreds of Russian attack drones and more than two dozen cruise missiles targeted Ukraine overnight, killing at least two people, Ukraine said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that Russia launched 597 drones and 26 missiles, killing two people, wounding 20, and damaging civilian infrastructure from Kharkiv and Sumy in the northeast to Lviv, Lutsk, and Chernivtsi in the west.

The city of Kyiv came under a large-scale drone and ballistic missile attack on the night of 9-10 July. Loud explosions have been heard in the capital, fires have broken out and casualties have been reported.
