The smile seemed to never come off the face of Sarah Hildebrandt Sunday as the Mishawaka and Granger communities celebrated its Olympic gold medalist.

The parade began at Penn High School and ended at Zolman’s Best One Tire & Auto Care off McKinley Avenue. A celebration was held afterwards at Urban Swirl in Granger, which honored her with a unique dessert after she won her gold medal last month.

Sarah Hildebrandt grew up in Granger and led Penn High to the IHSAA Team Championship in wrestling. She won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
