South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol attended on Tuesday a Constitutional Court hearing of his impeachment trial where he denied ordering military commanders to drag lawmakers out of parliament during his short-lived bid to impose martial law.

Law enforcement authorities have requested a warrant to formally arrest impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is spending his third day at a detention center after his lawyers failed in a last-minute attempt to secure his release.

Seoul: South Korean prosecutors were expected to file for an extension of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol  Friday, officials said, as they seek to speed up the investigation into his short-lived martial law attempt.
