That's because there was more work to be done. In fact, The Athletic reported that the trade would be historic -- becoming the first trade in NBA history to feature seven teams .

The Rockets-Suns version of the trade involves Houston receiving Durant in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in last month’s draft, a second-round pick in the 2025 draft and four other second-round picks, per ESPN.
