Indians can avail a 30-day visa-free entry to Malaysia starting from December 1, the country’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced on Sunday. Chinese citizens will also get 30-day visa-free entry to the Southeast Asian nation, the Malaysian state-owned news agency Bernama reported.

Malaysia will grant a 30-day visa-free entry for Indian and Chinese citizens from 1 December, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced, joining Thailand and Sri Lanka in recent weeks to offer such a facility to foreigners to promote tourism.

After Thailand and Sri Lanka, Malaysia has considered allowing visa-free entry to Indian nationals. Malaysia is relying on extra tourist arrivals as well as their expenses to support economic growth.
