Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reinforced his intention to hold direct talks with Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday, even though he said he had little hope that the Russian leader would show up.

Zelenskyy urged Trump to recognise Putin as the main obstacle to peace between Russia and Ukraine. Zelenskyy is set to meet Turkish President Erdoğan and hopes Trump's involvement will help push Putin toward talks.
