Former President Donald Trump was set to return to the campaign trail Tuesday for the first time since the apparent assassination attempt over the weekend — as he prepared for a rally on Long Island Wednesday.

The rally will feature survivors and first responders from the July 13 shooting, as well as billionaire supporter Elon Musk.

Former President Trump is speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday afternoon, nearly three months after gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate the Republican presidential candidate.
