Donald Trump has hit out at Volodymyr Zelensky for saying Ukraine would not recognise Russia's occupation of Crimea, branding his Ukrainian counterpart’s defiance “an inflammatory statement that will make a peace deal with Russia harder to achieve”.

JD Vance says both Ukraine and Russia will "have to give up some of the territory they currently own" to end the war, or the U.S. will "walk away" from peace efforts.
