A wildfire burning in New Jersey's Wharton State Forest, named the Mines Spung Wildfire, has burned to about 5,750 acres as of Sunday, June 15.

The fire was 100% contained by Monday morning, according to the New Jersey State Forest Fire Service. On Sunday evening , the fire known as the California Branch Wildfire, was 80% contained.

Despite the weekend rain the fire has consumed 5,750 acres and is 80% contained as of the last update at noon on Sunday.
